After many years as educators in Tidewater Virginia, we decided to move to La Moille, Illinois to live on and care for the Pre-civil war family farm. Hedgegrove Farm is a functioning farm where corn and soy beans are still raised by an area farm family. This historic homestead includes a farmhouse, smokehouse, outhouse, corn-crib, tool shed, granary and "half in hill" barn. After relocating to the farm in June of 2008, we found ourselves wanting to bring livestock back to what was once a thriving cattle farm. After some consideration we purchased a starter flock of Icelandic Sheep. After ten winters as shepherds our flock had grown from 7 to over 60 Sheep. In 2021, however, we gave up the sheep. Most of the sheep equipment has been sold, but we do still have other products for sale.
